MICT Releases Kieron Pollard Ahead Of SA20 2025
Pollard’s release from MI Cape Town before the SA20 Season 3 was reportedly due to a scheduling conflict with the ILT20, in which he plays for MI Emirates. The 37-year-old Pollard has been retained by MI Emirates in the International League T20 2025 season.
The International League T20 2025 is set to take place from 11 to February 9, 2025, across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. In the meantime, the SA20 2025 is scheduled from January 9 to February 8, 2025.

Kieron Pollard was one of the top overseas players in Indian Premier League (IPL) history. He ranks among the greatest cricketers to have ever played for the Mumbai Indians. But his last season wasn’t much impressive.
Pollard scored only 144 runs in 11 matches at a disappointing strike rate of 107.46 in IPL 2022. He was subsequently released by the team before the IPL 2023 auction. The West Indies batter chose to retire from the Indian Premier League and later took on the role of batting coach for the franchise ahead of the IPL 2023 season.
