On October 31, the IPL 2025 retained players list was released before the mega auction. Each team could keep up to six players from their 2024 roster. Among them, up to five players could be capped international players, while a maximum of two could be uncapped.
The Right To Match (RTM) option also introduced in this season. For every three players a team retained, they received three RTMs. Additionally, each team’s budget was increased, giving them INR 120 crore to spend on building their squad. Here’s the IPL 2025 retained players list:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
One of the most successful IPL teams, with five titles, CSK has held onto Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matheesha Pathirana, and Shivam Dube. In the uncapped category, they retained MS Dhoni, who’s set for another season.

Delhi Capitals (DC)
