A big setback has come for RCB. The team’s best bowler Asha Shobhana will not be able to play in WPL 2025. The tournament is going to start from tomorrow and this information will disappoint RCB fans.

Actually, Asha Shobhana has a knee injury. She suffered this injury during the T20 World Cup. Doctors have said that she needs rest right now. Asha performed brilliantly in WPL last year. She took 12 wickets and played a big role in making RCB the champion.
RCB has soon replaced Asha with a new player in the team. Nuzhat Parveen has been included in the team for Rs 30 lakh. Nuzhat plays for the Railways team and is a wicketkeeper-batsman. She has also played 5 T20 matches for Team India.
RCB captain Smriti Mandhana spoke about this. She told that the team already knew that Asha might not be able to play. That’s why they took Prema Rawat in the team in the auction.
But Asha’s injury is not the only problem of RCB. Many foreign players of the team will also not play this time. Sophie Molineux is injured, Kate Cross has withdrawn herself from the tournament, and Sophie Devine has taken a break from cricket.
According to the latest update, last year’s star player Shreyanka Patil is also not fully fit. She is suffering from a calf injury and is undergoing treatment at the NCA.
The good thing is that Alice Perry has joined the team. But it is not yet clear whether she will play in the first match or not. The first match of WPL 2025 is starting from tomorrow. RCB and Gujarat Giants will face each other in Vadodara.
