The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced on March 26 that Abu Dhabi will be the new home of their national cricket team.
After this historic five-year agreement with Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub (ADCSH), Abu Dhabi has now become the home ground of the Afghan team.

Afghanistan cricket will set up camp in Abu Dhabi
After the Taliban rule, it became difficult to host international cricket in Afghanistan. In such a situation, ACB had earlier made Dehradun, Lucknow and Greater Noida in India its home ground. But now under this new agreement, Abu Dhabi will become the permanent base of the Afghan team.
After this deal, Afghan cricket will get the best training and stadium facilities in Abu Dhabi till 2030.
Afghanistan gets a strong cricket base
This agreement between ACB and ADCSH will not only give Afghanistan’s senior team but also Afghanistan-A and Under-19 teams a chance to train and play matches in Abu Dhabi.
Apart from this, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will also help the Afghan team to organize bilateral series in the UAE.
ACB CEO Naseeb Khan described this agreement as a milestone for Afghan cricket.
He said, “Our partnership with Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub will play an important role in the development of Afghan cricket. The world-class facilities here will further hone our young talents and give us a permanent platform to compete in international cricket.”
Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub CEO Matt Boucher welcomed the Afghan team with open arms and said that Abu Dhabi is ready to become their second home.
He said, “We are proud to give Afghanistan cricket a world-class home. Our goal is to promote the game and strengthen Afghan cricket at the international level.”
Afghanistan will get the best cricket facilities in Abu Dhabi, which will make their team stronger. After this deal, Afghanistan cricket has got a stable and secure environment, where players can hone their cricket skills without any problem.
