In the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australian batsman Travis Head has once again made his mark, which led to an allegation on the Indian bowling that wrong bowling tactics were adopted against Travis Head.

Head’s scintillating 152 off 160 balls at the Gabba has raised questions about the tactics of the Indian bowlers.

On the second day of the match, where Australia scored 405/7, Cheteshwar Pujara has sharply commented on the strategy of the Indian bowlers.

Big mistake in strategy against Head: Pujara’s direct charge

Pujara categorically said that the Indian bowling unit did not adopt a proper strategy against Travis Head at all. “It was a very poor bowling performance. Head didn’t have any trouble scoring runs. They were given ample opportunities to score runs. “

Pujara believes that the Indian bowlers allowed Head’s power to be exploited to the fullest. He suggested that a straight line should have been bowled at midwicket, while four fielders should have been on the on-side and five on the off-side. However, nothing of that sort happened on the field.

    Brilliant performance for Australia

When Australia were 75/3, Travis Head walked out to the middle. His 241-run partnership with Steve Smith completely changed the course of the match. Head hit 18 boundaries in his innings and tormented the Indian bowlers throughout the day.

After his brilliant innings, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him, but by then Head had put his team in a strong position.

Cheteshwar Pujara believes that the wrong bowling strategy against Travis Head allowed him to score runs easily.

Travis Head’s performance in this match was not only brilliant, but he also brutally exposed the weaknesses of the Indian bowlers.

Pujara’s comments raise serious questions on the Indian bowling strategy and whether the Indian team will be able to control batsmen like Head.
