The explosive India-Pakistan match in Asia Cup 2025 is the biggest thrill for the fans, but this time there is a lot of uproar about it. BCCI has finally broken the silence on this matter.
Let’s know the whole matter..

Will there be an India-Pak match or not?
The schedule of Asia Cup 2025 is ready. The high-voltage match between India and Pakistan is scheduled on September 14. The tournament will be held in T20 format from September 9 to 28. India and Pakistan have been placed in Group A along with UAE and Oman.
If both the teams reach the final, then fans can watch the India-Pak match three times.
A BCCI source said, “Now there is no way to back out. The decision has been taken in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting. If India is the host, then the match will be held on time.”
That is, BCCI is in no mood to back out of this match.
Pahalgam attack increased tension
The terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April 2025 heated up the atmosphere. 26 people were killed in this attack, after which fans are demanding BCCI not to play against Pakistan.
On social media, people are tagging BCCI and saying, “Country first, cricket later!” Some fans have even threatened to boycott the tournament.
WCL increased Drama
Recently, the India-Pak match was also canceled in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. Yuvraj Singh’s team refused to play against Pakistan in Birmingham after a ruckus on social media.
This also raised questions about the Asia Cup whether the BCCI would do the same. But the BCCI says that the matter of Asia Cup is different.
BCCI’s decision on Asia Cup 2025
The BCCI made it clear that it is waiting for the instructions of the government. So far no such order has come that the tournament should be canceled.
Earlier BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia had said,
“We did not talk about boycotting anything.”
Now after the ACC meeting, the match has got the green signal.
Is there an option of neutral venue?
In the last few years, India-Pak matches have been held at neutral venues only. This time too the tournament can be held in Dubai or Sri Lanka, because Pakistan has refused to play in India.
