The match between India and Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 was just amazing, on Sunday in Dubai, Team India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets.

The team led by Suryakumar Yadav easily chased the target and made it to the Super-4. But as soon as the match ended, the drama of not shaking hands started.
The Pakistani players felt that the Indian team ignored them, and this matter became so heated that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi got angry!
What a handshake controversy?
Suryakumar did not shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha after the match, saying that it was part of the protest.
Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the chairman of the Asian Cricket Council, immediately complained to the ICC.
He demanded the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft, because according to him the referee did not tell the Pakistan team in advance that the Indian players would be back.
Naqvi tweeted, “Utterly disappointing to witness the lack of sportsmanship today.” And PCB, citing the ICC Code of Conduct, said, “The PCB has lodged a complaint with the ICC regarding violations by the Match Referee of the ICC Code of Conduct and the MCC Laws pertaining to the Spirit of Cricket. The PCB has demanded an immediate removal of the Match Referee from the Asia Cup.”
But the ICC turned down their request. Now the PCB has threatened to boycott the match against UAE.
Reports are saying that if the PCB leaves the entire Asia Cup, they will suffer a loss of more than Rs 140 crore.
By the way, the Pak team is already on the verge of being eliminated, so there will be no India-Pak clash in the Super-4.
This will also shock broadcasters like SonyLiv, because India-Pak matches are a hit!
Now the BCCI has broken its silence on this entire drama. Secretary Devjit Saikia clearly said that everyone should just celebrate the victory.
In an interview to IANS, he said, “I can just say that India has won brilliantly. It was a tremendous win for the Indian team. Nothing more than that. Nothing less than that. That’s it. India won the match very easily. We should enjoy it, rather than paying attention to the noise made by third parties or hostile countries.”
He further said, “We should not be bothered by this. Instead, we should appreciate and feel proud of our boys for doing so well. We hope the winning momentum will continue till the last match of this tournament.”
This statement of Saikia is absolutely cool, meaning, ignore the noise made by Pakistan, focus on your team.
