Bangladesh defeated Hong Kong by 7 wickets in a Group B match of Asia Cup 2025 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
This match was a complete delight for cricket fans, where Bangladesh showed their strength and won easily.

Hong Kong batted first after losing the toss and scored 143 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Nizakat Khan played an innings of 42 runs, which was the highest innings for his team.
Yasim Mortaza also gave a good support by scoring 28 runs, but Bangladesh bowlers prevented Hong Kong from scoring big.
Tanjim Hasan Sakib and Taskin Ahmed took 2 wickets each, while Rishad Hussain also took 2 wickets. Hong Kong did not have a good start, Anshuman Rath was dismissed after scoring just 4 runs, and Babar Hayat (14) also returned to the pavilion early.

Bangladesh’s start to chase the target was a bit shaky. Parvez Hossain Emon (19) and Tanjid Hasan (14) were out early, but captain Liton Das played a brilliant innings of 59 runs and took charge of the team.
Tauhid Hridoy played an unbeaten innings of 35 runs and Bangladesh won by scoring 144 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 17.4 overs.
Atiqul Rahman Iqbal took 2 wickets for Hong Kong, but he could not stop the Bangladesh batsmen.
In the match, both Bangladesh’s bowling and batting showed excellent performance. Tanzim Hasan Sakib took 2 wickets for just 21 runs in 4 overs, and his tight bowling stopped Hong Kong from making a big score.
On the other hand, Liton Das’ captaincy and his batting gave Bangladesh an easy victory. Hong Kong’s team tried, but they could not stand in front of the strong Bangladesh team.
