    In Group B of Asia Cup 2025, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka faced each other at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi today.

    Sri Lanka won by 6 wickets against Bangladesh

    After winning the toss, Sri Lanka chose to bowl first, which proved to be right. This victory makes Sri Lanka stronger in the group

    Where Sri Lanka won by 6 wickets in a spectacular manner. Bangladesh batted first and scored 139/5 in 20 overs, but Sri Lanka achieved the target by scoring 140/4 in just 14.4 overs.

    Bangladesh had a bad start. Openers Tanjid Hasan and Parvez Hussain Emon were both out on a duck.

    Captain Liton Das scored 28 runs, but the team got into trouble early. Then Ali Anik scored 41 and Shamim Hussain Patwari played unbeaten innings of 42, taking the score to 139.

    Among the Sri Lankan bowlers, Wanindu Hasaranga took 2 wickets, while Nuwan Thushara and Dushmantha Chameera took 1-1 wickets. Mathisha Pathirana proved to be expensive, but the team kept good control.

    Now talking about Sri Lanka’s batting, Pathum Nissanka played a quick innings of 50 runs, which included 6 fours and 1 six. Kamil Mishara remained unbeaten on 46 runs and brought the team to the threshold of victory.

    Kusal Mendis was out for 3, Kusal Perera for 9 and Dasun Shanaka for 1, but captain Charith Aslanka finished the match with a quick innings of 10 runs.

    Among the Bangladesh bowlers, Mahedi Hasan took 2 wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman and Tanjim Hasan Sakib took 1-1 wickets.
