Australia beats India by 2 wickets after a crazy finish at Adelaide Oval today. The Aussies nearly threw it away but somehow crossed the line with 2 wickets remaining. This loss means India can’t win the series anymore with one match left.

India’s Batting Performance at Adelaide
Mitchell Marsh won the toss and put India in to bat on a tricky surface. The visitors scratched their way to 264 for 9 which felt about 30 short. Rohit Sharma played some gorgeous drives on his way to 73 before getting out. Shreyas Iyer played well with Rohit and scored 61 runs when wickets kept falling around him constantly.
Kohli walked back without scoring again making it two golden ducks in two games. Nobody expected this from someone who owns Adelaide with past centuries scored here. Adam Zampa ripped through India’s middle order picking up 4 wickets for just 60 runs.

Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh swung their bats late pushing India past 260 somehow. Those extra 20 runs at the death made things interesting during Australia’s chase.
Australia’s Successful Chase
Australia beats India by 2 wickets but did they make it hard work? Matthew Short hammered 74 upfront putting Australia ahead in the powerplay overs early. Cooper Connolly hung around till the end finishing unbeaten on 61 under serious pressure.
Mitch Owen chipped in with 36 during a tricky period when wickets tumbled quickly. India’s drop catches at crucial moments cost them badly. Their fielding looked sloppy throughout the innings. Josh Hazlewood didn’t grab wickets but kept things tight from one end, bowling beautifully.

Series Implications for Both Teams
BCCI sacked Rohit Sharma from leadership before this tour. They made Shubman Gill the new ODI captain. BCCI’s decision looks stupid right now. Australia beats India by 2 wickets. This shows they’re simply better at home.
India’s bowlers couldn’t protect 264, which exposes their lack of death bowling options badly. The last ODI means nothing now since Australia already pocketed the series trophy today.
