Changes in T20 matches against Bangladesh and England

The upcoming season of the Indian cricket team is full of exciting and at times interesting changes. The Indian team will play against Bangladesh and England this season. A significant change has been made in the T20 matches against Bangladesh.

The first T20I to be held in Dharamsala on October 6, 2024, will now be played in Gwalior. The change has been made due to the renovation works being carried out in the dressing room by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.

Now the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior is getting ready for this match.

    BCCI said in its statement

“The match in Gwalior is the first international match at the city’s new stadium – Srimanta Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium – and the first since the historic India-South Africa ODI in 2010, in which the legendary Sachin Tendulkar became the first male cricketer to score a double century in ODIs.”

Venues for T20Is against England changed

The five-match T20I series against England has also been changed. The first T20I was to be hosted by Chennai on January 22, while the second match was to be hosted by Kolkata on January 25.

The venues have now been swapped, with Chennai now hosting the second T20I and Kolkata hosting the first T20I. This change has been made keeping in mind the improved spectator experience and availability of stadiums.

While the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior will mark the beginning of a new chapter in Indian cricket, the matches in Chennai and Kolkata will make Indian cricket lovers a part of a new cricketing celebration
