The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has taken a strict stance ahead of the BPL 2026 auction by omitting eight cricketers from the final BPL auction list.

The move comes after the players were reportedly flagged by the BCB Integrity Unit for their activities during the previous Bangladesh Cricket Board season.

were part of the earlier draft but have now been removed following a detailed report by the Integrity Unit, led by Alex MarshallOfficial Statement
“This decision is based on the report of the Integrity Unit as these players were found in the red flag zone. Further details cannot be disclosed,”
The step follows a comprehensive 900-page investigation by a three-member independent inquiry committee into fixing allegations during the previous Bangladesh Cricket Board season.
The committee reportedly identified 18 to 19 individuals, including 8 to 10 players, suspected of varying degrees of involvement in match-fixing.
He clarified that these measures are BPL-specific and aimed at maintaining the fairness and integrity of the tournament.
“This does not affect other domestic cricket events under BCB,” the board added.
With the BPL auction 2026 around the corner, franchises will now draft their teams from the updated BPL auction 2026 list, leaving fans curious about the impact of these changes on team strategies.
