The fun of cricket is going to double in Chennai, when the Indian women’s cricket team will play a three-match ODI series against Australia’s dashing team from September 14 to 20.
These matches will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and this series will be a great preparation just before the Women’s ODI World Cup, which is starting in India from September 29.

This series is no less than a big test for the Indian team captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. After losing 3-0 in Australia in December last year, the girls of India are now ready to take revenge on home ground.

How is the preparation for the Women’s World Cup?
These three ODI matches will start at 1:30 pm on September 14, 17 and 20, and all will be played in day-night format. Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium, which is famous for its great pitch and atmosphere, this series will be the last chance for both the teams to test their preparations before the World Cup.
Apart from India and Australia, teams from England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan will also participate in the World Cup. But the special thing is that Pakistan’s matches can be played at a neutral venue, as such an agreement has been reached between BCCI and PCB.
Before this series, the Indian team will play five T20s and three ODIs on the England tour in June-July. But after that, India has no other international schedule till the World Cup. That is, this series against Australia will be the biggest test of World Cup preparations.
On the other hand, Australia captain Tahlia McGrath will try her best to defend her title with her team.

However, along with women’s cricket, BCCI has also released the schedule for men’s ‘A’ teams. Australia ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ teams will visit India in September-November.
Australia ‘A’ will play two four-day and three ODI matches in Lucknow and Kanpur, while South Africa ‘A’ will play matches at BCCI’s new Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
