The Champions League T20 (CLT20) is set to be restored after more than 10 Years. Planners are aiming to make their comeback on the growing global T20 and engage multiple global cricket boards.

The CLT20 was last held in 2014 and will return following a decision made by ICC members during their meeting in Singapore. If everything goes smooth the Champions League T20 returns by early months of next year.
What is Champions League T20, and Why is it So Famous
The Champions League T20 retured but also it used to be a very famous league. This was popular because the teams from the different tournaments used to compete in this league.
The tournament was popular among franchise teams but was suspended due to financial losses by its broadcaster. Star Sports was the official broadcaster at that time.

The revival aims to enhance the league’s structure. This includes addressing cross-ownership of teams across different franchises globally. The current T20 cricket environment is vastly different. There are around 11 major franchise leagues, including those in Associate nations.
Things Have Changed in the Last 10 Years
Champions League T20 was discontinued in 2015. The franchise-based rivals lived only in a handful of major Test-playing nations. Ten years on, the T20 landscape has transformed dramatically.
Many more leagues have been added to the cricketing world. Associate nations like the USA and UAE are having their own contests. Countries such as Nepal and Canada have also joined this race. There are around 11 major franchise leagues globally.

Key Challenges Organisers Have to Face
Champions League T20 Returns with some key challenges for the league’s organisers include creating a suitable schedule. They’ll also find difficulties in determining team allocations. Their major headache will be finding a new Governing Council.
The BCCI, ECB, and CA are expected to be prominent in the league’s framework, while Cricket South Africa may also be included.
The initiation of the revival will involve a tender process to select a broadcaster, similar to the previous CLT20 management approach.
