There is always some explosion in the world of cricket, and this time West Indies King Chris Gayle revealed such a secret about Virat Kohli that the fans were shocked.

Gayle clearly said that Virat has made the biggest mistake of his life by retiring from Test cricket so early.
Actually, Gayle did not like saying goodbye to Test, which was Virat’s favorite format.
In May 2025, Virat suddenly quit Test cricket, and shocked the entire cricket world. This superstar, who scored 9,230 runs in 123 matches, ended his Test career on 12 May.
Gayle, who is Virat’s old RCB teammate, called it “too early”. He said that a player like Virat will be missed a lot in Test cricket.
Gayle spoke openly in Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast on YouTube:
“Yes, too early. Too early. You know, whatever reason, I don’t know, but cricket is going to miss him 100%. Cricket is going to miss him. He’s a massive figure for the game of cricket.”
Gayle told how happy he was to lift the trophy with Virat and AB de Villiers.
RCB won the IPL for the first time by defeating Punjab Kings in June, and Gayle-de Villiers were seen celebrating on the field.
Gayle said: “I’m happy that a player like Virat also lifted the trophy, because you know how much talk there was about that. We played in a few finals together, so I was really happy to be part of that RCB team and lift the trophy. And the way I’m happy, I’m sure AB is excited as well for RCB.”
Apart from this, Sunil Gavaskar’s old prediction also went viral again. In the 2012 Asia Cup, Gavaskar had said that Virat and Rohit are the future of India.
In commentary, he said: “I think we’ve seen a glimpse of the future. The future of Indian batting. Rahul Dravid has just retired. We don’t know how long Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman are going to play. But I think these (Kohli and Rohit) are a glimpse of the future of Indian batting.”
Now Virat and Rohit are playing only ODIs, they have retired from Tests and T20s. They will soon be seen in the ODI series against Australia.
