    The Hyderabad Cricket Association President Arrested news shocked cricket fans everywhere. Police arrested A Jagan Mohan Rao and four other officials. They face serious charges of corruption and money theft.

    Hyderabad Cricket Association President Arrested, Azharuddin Asks for HCA Disbandment

    The Telangana CID department made these arrests for questioning purposes. Officials broke rules during the 2025 IPL season badly. They demanded too many free tickets from teams.

    Sunrisers Hyderabad team complained about blackmail and ticket problems. The franchise threatened to move matches to other cities. This created big trouble for Sunrisers Hyderabad cricket fans.

    Officials Arrested and Charges Filed

    Police arrested five important HCA officials on serious charges. Treasurer C Srinivas Rao got arrested with the president. CEO Sunil Kante also faced arrest by police officers.

    General Secretary Rajender Yadav and his wife G Kavita joined them. All officials now answer questions about money and tickets. Police investigate their actions during IPL season carefully.

    The Hyderabad Cricket Association President Arrested case involves Rs 2.3 crore. Officials allegedly stole this money from cricket association funds. They used fake documents to win elections earlier.

    Dharam Gurava Reddy from Telangana Cricket Association made the complaint. He reported forgery and financial misconduct to police authorities. His complaint started this big investigation process.

    Azharuddin Demands Action

    Former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin spoke about corruption problems. He called for the complete disbandment of the current HCA administration. Azharuddin wants a thorough inquiry into all operations.

    “I am deeply disturbed by the ongoing IPL ticket scam and rampant corruption within the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The current HCA body has failed its duty and must be held accountable. I urge immediate action, a thorough investigation, and the disbandment of the current HCA administration. It’s time to clean up the system and restore integrity to Hyderabad cricket,” he wrote on social media.

    The cricket legend stressed the need for accountability measures. He believes integrity must return to Hyderabad cricket management. Azharuddin criticized the “rampant corruption” within the HCA strongly.
