India’s cricket team has found Apollo Tyres as new jersey sponsor till 2028. The tyre company beat other big companies to win this important deal. Apollo Tyres will pay much more money than the previous sponsor paid.

Record-Breaking Sponsorship Deal
Apollo Tyres signed a massive contract worth Rs 579.06 crore with the Indian cricket team. The deal will last until March 2028 and covers about 141 matches. This means Apollo Tyres pays Rs 4.5 crore for each bilateral game.
The previous sponsor, Dream11 used to pay Rs 4 crore per match. Apollo Tyres as new jersey sponsor, offers Rs 50 lakh more per game. This increase shows how valuable Indian cricket has become worldwide.
Three other companies also wanted to sponsor the Indian cricket team. Canva offered Rs 554.48 crore while JK Cement bid Rs 477.7 crore. Birla Optus Paints showed interest but did not make any bid.
BCCI Officials Happy with New Deal
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia feels excited about partnering with the Apollo Tyres company. He believes this partnership will help both Indian cricket and business. The tyre company has shown great trust in Indian cricket’s future.
“The arrival of Apollo Tyres as our new sponsor is a testament to the hard work and consistent performance of our teams. We are excited about this being Apollo’s first major sponsorship in Indian cricket, which speaks volumes about the sport’s unparalleled reach and influence.”
“This is more than a commercial agreement; it’s a partnership between two institutions that have earned the trust and respect of millions,” Saikia said.
Currently, the Indian team plays Asia Cup matches without a jersey sponsor. Apollo Tyres will start its sponsorship after this tournament ends completely. The new partnership officially begins when India plays their next bilateral series.
Why Dream11 Left the Partnership
Dream11 stopped sponsoring Indian cricket because of new government rules about gaming. The online gaming company could not continue under these strict regulations. This created an opportunity for Apollo Tyres as new jersey sponsor.
The Indian government made new laws that affected online gaming companies badly. Dream11 decided to end its cricket sponsorship deal early because of this. BCCI needed to find a replacement sponsor quickly for the team.
