India’s Asia Cup uncertainty has put Pakistan cricket in big financial trouble now. The Pakistan Cricket Board faces a huge financial problem this year. They might lose INR 34.8 crores if the Asia Cup does not happen.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has not decided about the tournament yet. This delay creates serious worries for Pakistani cricket officials and fans. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi missed an important ICC meeting recently, too. The cricket board planned to make lots of money from this tournament.
PCB Expected Big Money from the Asia Cup
The PCB INR 34.8 crores loss comes from their Asia Cup revenue plans. They wanted to earn around INR 264 crores from cricket events this year. Most of this money would come from the Asia Cup tournament itself.
PCB also expected earnings from other international cricket matches during the season. The International Cricket Council and the Asian Cricket Council were supposed to share money.

PCB marked USD 25.9 million as their expected share from ICC this year. A board source told news reporters about these financial plans earlier. The cricket board needs this money to run Pakistani cricket properly.
Meeting Problems Makes the Situation Worse
PCB sent CEO Sumair Ahmed to represent them at important cricket meetings. He is going instead of Chief Mohsin Naqvi to the recent discussions. But Ahmed did not get good responses from other cricket boards.
The BCCI is not showing interest in the ACC meeting. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan cricket boards are also staying away from talks. The meeting is planned for July 24 in Dhaka this month.
India’s Asia Cup uncertainty creates problems between different cricket boards in Asia. These countries need to work together to make cricket tournaments happen.
Financial Problems Show Bigger Issues
The PCB INR 34.8 crores loss shows deeper problems in Asian cricket relationships. Cricket boards in Asia do not cooperate well with each other. Political issues between countries affect cricket tournaments, and money matters too.
