BCCI has announced the India A team for the ODI series against Australia A.
Big players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer have not got a place in this selection.

This news came on 14 September 2025, and there is a lot of discussion among the fans.
The series will be of three ODIs from 30 September to 5 October at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
This series will give an opportunity to share experience between India A and Australia A. Young players will learn from here and prepare for the main team.
Why did Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma not get a chance?
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were last seen on the field in IPL 2025. Fans are disappointed with their absence. Questions are now being raised on their availability in the main white-ball series against Australia.
Rajat Patidar will be the captain in the first ODI. Tilak Verma will play the role of captain for the second and third matches, while Rajat Patidar will be the vice-captain.
Both these players have been performing well in recent times. Rajat Patidar has shown strong batting in domestic cricket, and Tilak Verma has proved useful for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
This selection clearly shows that BCCI is focusing on building a future team.

Rajat Patidar (Captain), Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Suryansh Shedge, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, Riyan Parag, Ayush Badoni, Ravi Bishnoi, Abhishek Porel (WK), Priyansh Arya, and Simarjeet Singh.
Players like Riyan Parag and Ayush Badoni are included here, who have played well in the IPL.
Riyan Parag has scored runs in recent domestic tournaments, while Badoni will give balance to the team as an all-rounder.
Names like Ravi Bishnoi and Simarjit Singh are strong options in bowling.

Tilak Varma (Captain), Rajat Patidar (VC), Abhishek Sharma, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Riyan Parag, Ayush Badoni, Suryansh Shedge, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Abhishek Porel (WK), Harshit Rana, and Arshdeep Singh.
Now IPL stars like Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh have been included here.
Arshdeep has played ODIs for India in fast bowling, and Harshit Rana is an emerging name for Delhi Capitals.
Prabhsimran Singh and Abhishek Porel will be two options in wicketkeeping.
