India’s cricket captain Rohit Sharma is expected to join the Test squad during the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Reports suggest he will arrive on the third day of the opening Test in Perth.
Rohit will miss the start of the Test series against Australia at the Optus Stadium, scheduled to begin on November 22 due to the birth of his second child. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah will lead the Indian team for the first match.
Rohit Sharma to Join Test Squad on November 24
Rohit’s travel to Australia was delayed for personal reasons, but he has now confirmed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that he will join the team on November 24, the third day of the first Test, as reported by Cricbuzz.
