India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal’s troubles are increasing. He has been accused of serious rape, due to which he has been shown the way out of the Uttar Pradesh T20 League.
Jaipur Police has registered a case against him under POCSO Act and Indian Penal Code (BNS). This news is no less than a shock for cricket fans.

What is the whole matter?
A minor girl has filed a complaint against Yash Dayal at Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur. The girl says that two years ago, when she was 17 years old, Yash sexually exploited her by promising to help her in her cricket career.
The complaint also said that during IPL 2025, Yash called her to a hotel in Sitapura area of Jaipur and sexually assaulted her again.
Sanganer police station in-charge Anil Jaiman said,
“The complainant, who was a minor at the time, met Dayal during a cricket event. She alleged that Dayal sexually assaulted her by promising to help her build a cricket career.”
Ban from UP T20 League
According to a Dainik Jagran report, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has barred Yash Dayal from playing in the T20 League.
Yash was a part of the Gorakhpur Lions team, but the rape allegations in Ghaziabad and Jaipur have increased his troubles.
The UPCA made it clear that they cannot allow Yash to play in the league amid such serious allegations.
What happened in the court?
Yash Dayal had applied for interim bail in the Rajasthan High Court, but the court rejected it.
Judge Sudesh Bansal said, “Given the seriousness of the allegations and the age of the victim, interim protection cannot be granted.”
The court has asked for the case diary and the next hearing will be on August 22.
Yash’s lawyer Kunal Jaiman argued,
“This appears to be a targeted attempt to defame the cricketer. A similar complaint was filed in Ghaziabad, which was stayed by the Allahabad High Court. Just seven days later, another FIR was filed in Jaipur. It seems a gang is orchestrating such cases for blackmail.”
Yash has been in controversies earlier too
This is not the first time Yash Dayal has been in the news for the wrong reasons. Two years ago, he was accused of sharing an objectionable communal post on Instagram.
Yash had then clarified that the post was made from his account, but he himself had not uploaded it.
At present, legal action is going on and Yash Dayal’s cricket career is currently in uncertainty.
