The UP T20 League Match-Fixing allegations have arisen these days. This news breaks the internet just before the tournament final scheduled for September 6, 2025.
Police in Lucknow have registered an FIR following a complaint from the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) after an alleged attempt to corrupt the ongoing matches.
How UP T20 League Match-Fixing Revealed
A suspicious message was received by Arjun Chauhan. He is the manager of the Kashi Rudra team. Arjun Chauhan received a message from ‘vipss_nakrani’ on Instagram that one account was offering ₹1 crore for match manipulation and a ₹50 lakh commission.

The ACU documented all communications, including WhatsApp messages and voice calls. This will be accumulating evidence of a criminal conspiracy involving match-fixing and illegal betting.
DCP South Zone Nipun Agarwal indicated that the FIR included multiple serious charges, such as cheating and organized crime under various acts.
Match-Fixing Arrow on the UP T20 League
The suspect is claiming to be a high-profile bookmaker. He had attempted to fix matches in the UP T20 League. He’s offering ₹1 crore to manipulate outcomes and promising a ₹50 lakh commission to the Kashi Rudra team manager.
He instructed that team players follow his directions during UP T20 Matches. He guaranteed immediate payments in cash or US dollars. The ACU recorded all WhatsApp messages and voice calls of the team manager, collecting screenshots, transcripts, and audio clips as evidence of the UP T20 League match-fixing.
Bookies Target Other Teams as well in the League
The investigation aims to trace the identity of the suspect behind the Instagram account and any affiliated accomplices engaged in the conspiracy.

Alerts have been raised as bookies might be targeting players from multiple teams. Also, previous instances of contact with players at hotels have been noted.
Authorities plan to review past matches for suspicious activity as part of the investigation to maintain the sport’s integrity.
