After facing seven consecutive defeats against Australia, the West Indies cricket team has now been given a tough blow by the ICC.
The 4th T20I AUS vs WI was no less than a party for Australia, but for West Indies it became a double dose of defeat and punishment.

What is the whole matter?
Australia defeated West Indies on every front in this T20 series. The Kangaroos won every match, and many times chased more than 200 runs easily.
On the other hand, the West Indies team not only lost, but their sluggishness on the field also provoked the ICC.
And due to slow over rate in the fourth T20 match, West Indies was fined 10% of the match fee.
What is the ICC rule?
According to the ICC code of conduct, if a team does not complete the overs in the stipulated time, then a fine of 5% of the match fee is imposed for every over short.
West Indies captain Shai Hope accepted this punishment, so now there was no need for any hearing.
4th T20I AUS vs WI: Cameron Green’s strong comeback
Cameron Green made a strong comeback for Australia. After recovering from injury, Green scored three consecutive half-centuries, in which the third unbeaten half-century came in just 35 balls.
His explosive batting gave Australia an unassailable lead of 4-0.
In the last match, Tim David wrote his name in the Australian record book when he scored the fastest T20 century.
Australia also gave a chance to many new faces on this tour. Glenn Maxwell was sent to the top order, while Travis Head was shown the way out. Players like Tim David and young Cooper Connolly were also tried.
A new star like Mitchell Owen surprised everyone by scoring a half-century on his debut.
All this is part of the preparation for the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be held in India. Australia’s eyes are now on the title, which they last won in India.
This series has been no less than a nightmare for West Indies. The losing streak and the ICC fine became a double blow for them.
Now it remains to be seen whether they will be able to make a comeback in the next match, or Australia’s dominance will continue like this.
