The former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and RCB star Dinesh Karthik has retired from all forms of cricket. However, he remains actively involved as a commentator and expert. He regularly shares his views on the game.
During the latest episode of Cricbuzz’s video series, Karthik was asked a question that had nothing to do with cricket. But it was about his desires, which revealed that the former RCB stumper wants to be the master music composer and singer AR Rahman.
“If you could swap lives with any one celebrity for a week, who would it be and what would you do?” a fan asked Karthik on the show.
“I would love to swap lives with AR Rahman,” Karthik replied. “(I have) Been his biggest fan, never met him. I would love to see how much creativity goes through (his mind).”
He also said that AR Rahman is a genius par excellence. He has loved his music and how consistent he has been for almost three decades. He also said that he would love to go into his brain and see what keeps him ticking.
However, Karthik admitted that it would be a challenge for him to spend sleepless nights creating new music compositions like Rahman is known to do.
“I have heard he works a lot through the night. That will be a challenge, but I still won’t mind getting into his brain,” he concluded with a smile.
Karthik announced his retirement from the game in June this year. He played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs, and 60 T20Is for India.
