Duleep Trophy 2024: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released an important update on Tuesday. Fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik have been ruled out of the first round of the Duleep Trophy. Due to illness, both the players will not be able to take part in the initial matches of the tournament.

BCCI Statement on revised list of Duleep Trophy 2024

The BCCI has said that Navdeep Saini will replace Siraj in Team B, while Gaurav Yadav will replace Umran Malik in Team C. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also been released from the squad.

“The men’s selection committee has announced a few replacements in the squad for the first round of the 2024-25 Duleep Trophy. Fast bowler Navdeep Saini will replace Mohammed Siraj in Team B, while Gaurav Yadav will replace Umran Malik in Team C. Both Siraj and Malik are indisposed and are not expected to be fit in time for the Duleep Trophy matches.”

“All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also been released from Team B.

The Duleep Trophy 202425 season is going to start from September 5 in Anantapur and Bengaluru. India’s top cricket stars and budding players will compete in this tournament.
