The second quarter-final of the Duleep Trophy 2025 was played between Central Zone and North East Zone in Bengaluru, and what a great match it was.

In this match which started on 28 August, North East Zone won the toss and chose to bowl first, but Central Zone’s batting set the field on fire.
In the end, the match was a draw, but the rain of runs and explosive performance won the hearts of the fans.
Central Zone scored a huge score of 532/4 in the first innings. Danish Malewar played a stormy innings of 203 runs, which included 36 fours and 1 six. Captain Rajat Patidar hit 125 runs, and Yash Rathod scored an unbeaten 87 runs.
Aryan Jayal retired hurt after scoring 60 runs. Among the bowlers of North East, Akash Chaudhary took 2 wickets, but the rest of the bowlers could not stop the rain of runs.

North East Zone’s first innings were bundled out for just 185 runs. Karnjit Yumnam scored 48 and Ankur Malik scored 42, but the rest of the batsmen could not hold on.
Central’s Aditya Thackeray took 3 and Harsh Dubey took 2 wickets. Saeed Khalil Ahmed and Deepak Chahar also took one wicket each.
Central Zone declared at 331/7 in the second innings. Shubham Sharma played a brilliant innings of 122 runs, Yash Rathore scored 78 and Rajat Patidar added 66 runs. Biswarjeet Konthoujam took 2 wickets for North East.
In reply, North East Zone scored 200/6. Jehu Anderson scored 64 and Rongson Jonathan scored 60, but time fell short. Harsh Dubey and Shubham Sharma took 2 wickets each.
