The second semi-final of the Duleep Trophy 2025 ended in a thrilling draw in Bengaluru! But Central Zone took a 162-run lead by scoring a mammoth 600 runs in 164.3 overs in their first innings.

West Zone scored 438 runs in 108 overs in the first innings and reached 216/8 in 53.3 overs in the second innings. Central Zone secured a place in the final on the basis of their lead. West Zone won the toss and batted first, but Central’s batsmen and bowlers did wonders.
Player of the Match was Saransh Jain, who scored 63 runs and took 8 wickets (3/121 and 5/84) in both innings.
In West Zone’s first innings, Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant innings of 184 runs, which included 25 fours and 1 six. Tanush Kotian scored 76, captain Shardul Thakur 64, and Aryan Desai 39. Shreyas Iyer (25), Shams Mulani (18), and Tushar Deshpande (18) also contributed.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (4) and Harvik Desai (1) were dismissed early. Central’s Saransh Jain and Harsh Dubey took 3-3 wickets, Khaleel Ahmed took 2 and Deepak Chahar took 1 wicket.
Duleep Trophy 2025 CZ VS WZ: Explosive Twist
In the innings of Central Zone, Shubham Sharma scored 96, Upendra Yadav scored 87, and captain Rajat Patidar scored 77. Danish Malevar scored 76, Saransh Jain scored 63, and Deepak Chahar added 33 runs.
Yash Thakur (21) and Ayush Pandey (40) also scored runs. 30 runs were scored in extras. West’s Dharmendrasinh Jadeja took 4 wickets, Arjan Nagwaswala took 3, Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian took 1 wicket each.
In West Zone’s second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 64, Tanush Kotian 40, and Harvik Desai scored 35 runs. Central’s Saransh Jain took 5 and Harsh Dubey took 3 wickets. The match was drawn, but Central’s first innings lead put them in the final.
