The IPL 2025 Eliminator match was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur.

Mumbai posted a mountain-like score of 228/5, behind which was Rohit Sharma’s stormy innings of 81 runs in 50 balls and Johnny Bairstow’s 47 runs in 22 balls on his debut.
But Gujarat captain Shubman Gill’s bat remained silent again, and in the first over, Trent Boult sent him to the pavilion by LBW.
In the End, MI defeated GT by 20 runs and confirmed their place in Qualifier 2.

In Mumbai’s innings, Rohit took advantage of two dropped catches and scored 81 runs. Bairstow also scored a quick 47, while Suryakumar Yadav (33) and Hardik Pandya (22) took the score to 228.
Gujarat’s fielding was slack, three big catches were dropped, which cost them dearly. Sai Sudarshan played a brilliant innings of 80 runs and Washington Sundar scored 48, but Jasprit Bumrah’s yorker broke GT’s back.
This was the third time for GT when they had to chase more than 225 runs, but Bumrah and Boult’s bowling dashed their hopes.
