A big controversy has started after India’s thrilling win against England at The Oval. Former Pakistan cricketer alleges ball-tampering against Indian bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. Shabbir Ahmed made these serious claims after watching the match at the Oval.

India won by just six runs in one of the closest Test matches ever. Ahmed thinks something fishy happened with the cricket ball during India’s bowling. He believes the Indian team used Vaseline to make the ball swing better.
The former Pakistani player wants cricket officials to check the ball in a laboratory. Ahmed questioned why the ball stayed shiny for so long during the match.
England Almost Won But Collapsed
England needed 374 runs to win the match and were doing really well. They reached 301 runs with only three wickets lost at one point. Everyone thought England would win easily from that strong position there.

But then something amazing happened for India’s bowling attack suddenly. Siraj and Krishna at The Oval bowled like magicians and took wickets quickly. England collapsed from 301/3 to 367 all out in no time.
Former Pakistan cricketer alleges ball-tampering helped Indian bowlers during this collapse period. Ahmed thinks the umpires should have checked the ball more carefully. He believes the ball’s condition helped India win this crucial match.
“I think India used Vaseline. After 80+ overs, the ball still shone like new. Umpires should send this ball to a lab for examination,” Shabbir wrote on X.
Siraj Gets Big Rewards
Mohammed Siraj became the Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance. He took 23 wickets during the whole series, which is really impressive work. Siraj climbed to 15th place in the ICC bowling rankings after this series.

Prasidh Krishna also moved up to 59th position in the same rankings. Siraj and Krishna at The Oval used the old ball very cleverly that day. The ball started swinging in reverse, which troubled English batsmen a lot.
Former Pakistan cricketer alleges ball-tampering, but Indian fans disagree with these claims completely. The series ended 2-2, which made both teams quite happy.
