Varun Chakraborty, a name that is shining in the world of cricket today. But do you know that this Indian cricketer was once starting his life by earning Rs 600 a day? His story is no less than a film script.

From architect to musician, filmmaker and then Team India’s superstar spinner – Varun achieved success in every path with his hard work and passion.
Varun started his career as an assistant architect after college. The salary was 14-18 thousand rupees a month, but he did not like the desk job.
Then he stepped into the world of music and tried to learn guitar. But soon he realized that music is not his real passion.
Varun says, “If you want to adopt any art, then that passion should come from the heart, not to impress others.” That’s it, then he left the guitar.
After this, Varun tried his hand in business. Started his interior design and construction firm, which did well for a year. But cyclone Vardha ruined all his investments. Still he did not give up. Varun entered the film industry.
Cinema Dreams on a ₹600 Per Day Job
He had a dream of becoming an assistant director there, but luck got him the role of a junior artist. Earning Rs 600 a day helped him a lot at that time.
Not only this, he also directed some short films, but had difficulty converting the script into a screenplay.
Varun’s real love was cricket. This spinner, who started with tennis-ball cricket, gradually made his place in professional cricket. He was selected in the 2021 T20 World Cup, but injuries held him back.
Still he did not give up. Recently, he made a comeback by taking 9 wickets in the Champions Trophy. Now he is the star spinner of Kolkata Knight Riders and is ready for the Bangladesh tour.
