Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has created a major record. In the third T20 match against South Africa in Dharamshala, he took his 100th wicket.

With this wicket, he became the first Indian player to have both more than 1000 runs and 100 wickets in T20 Internationals.
Hardik’s Remarkable Wicket
In the match, Hardik achieved this milestone by dismissing South Africa’s Tristan Stubbs. Stubbs played a shot at a ball outside the off-stump, and the edge went into the hands of wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma.
Before this, Hardik had 99 wickets. He became the third Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in T20s, after Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah.
A Special Place Globally
Hardik is now the fifth player in the world to achieve the double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in T20 Internationals. Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Nabi, Sikandar Raza, and Virender Singh have achieved this feat before him.
Notably, Hardik is the world’s first fast-bowling all-rounder to achieve this milestone.
Hardik has played 123 T20 matches so far, in which he has scored 1939 runs and hit 101 sixes. His best bowling figures are 4/16.
Regarding the match, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Bumrah was not playing due to personal reasons, and Axar Patel was out due to illness.
The Indian bowlers restricted South Africa to 117 runs, with Aiden Markram scoring 61 runs. India easily chased down the target and took a 2-1 lead in the series.
