Once again, a thrilling spectacle of cricket was seen at Lord’s, where India failed to chase the small target of 193 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja did not give up till the end, but the pair of Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer gave England a spectacular victory by 22 runs.
This victory was historic for England, and India is now trailing 1-2 in the five-match series.
The last day of the match was like a breath-taking one. India needed 135 runs and England 6 wickets. Early in the morning, Jofra Archer showed Rishabh Pant (9) the way out by uprooting the stumps.
Pant’s injury had already troubled India, and Archer capitalized on this opportunity. Then Ben Stokes got KL Rahul (39) out LBW. Rahul thought the ball had hit the bat, but DRS proved Stokes right.
In the very next over, Archer dismissed Washington Sundar for zero. India’s condition was getting worse.

Ravindra Jadeja (61*) raised some hopes along with Nitish Reddy (13), but Chris Woakes dismissed Reddy just before lunch. After this, Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah (5) troubled England for 132 balls and added 37 runs.
It seemed as if India would do a miracle, but Stokes again showed his magic and sent Bumrah to the pavilion.
Last batsman Mohammad Siraj (4) supported Jadeja, but Shoaib Bashir dismissed Siraj and gave England the victory.

At the start of the match, England scored 387 runs thanks to Joe Root’s 37th Test century. India also equaled by scoring 387 runs in the first innings with KL Rahul’s century.
In the second innings, India bowled out England for 192, with Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar bowling brilliantly. But while chasing the target of 193, India’s batting faltered.
On the fourth day, England took four big wickets, and on the last day the Stokes-Archer pair did wonders.
The atmosphere of the series heated up on the third day when Shubman Gill accused England’s Jack Crowley of wasting time.
Now England is ahead 2-1, and the next Test will be held in Manchester. Will India be able to make a comeback, or will England win the series? Only time will tell.
