Pakistani cricket fans hoped for better representation in The Hundred 2026! 16 players entered the auction with dreams of playing. Only two men actually got sold though.

The first-ever Hundred auction happened March 11-12 at Piccadilly Lights in London! Over 700 players registered for selection across men’s and women’s categories. Just 243 men got shortlisted eventually.
The Two Pakistani Players Who Got Sold
Abrar Ahmed became the first Pakistani sold at The Hundred 2026! Sunrisers Leeds paid £190,000 for the talented spinner. That signing created controversy among Indian fans immediately though.
Usman Tariq joined Birmingham Phoenix for £140,000 as the second Pakistani! These two represent Pakistan’s entire male presence in the tournament. That’s disappointing considering 14 Pakistani men entered the auction.
James Coles topped the entire auction at £390,000 to London Spirit! Jordan Cox went for £300,000 while Tom Curran cost £260,000. Pakistani players earned significantly less comparatively speaking.
High-Profile Pakistani Players Who Went Unsold
Haris Rauf went unsold shockingly despite being Pakistan’s premier fast bowler! Shadab Khan, the talented all-rounder, also found no buyers. Saim Ayub, a promising young opener, got ignored too.
Naseem Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, and other quality Pakistani cricketers went unsold! That’s 12 Pakistani men rejected at the auction total. The numbers tell a disappointing story clearly.
| Player | Price |
|---|---|
| Haris Rauf | £100,000 |
| Shadab Khan | £100,000 |
| Saim Ayub | £100,000 |
| Mohammad Nawaz | £100,000 |
| Naseem Shah | £100,000 |
| Mohammad Amir | £75,000 |
| Zaman Khan | £75,000 |
| Imad Wasim | £75,000 |
| Usama Mir | £50,000 |
| Akif Javed | £31,000 |
| Salman Mirza | £31,000 |
Shaheen Shah Afridi withdrew from The Hundred 2026 auction before it started! Pakistan’s ODI captain had a £100,000 base price listed. His withdrawal reduced Pakistani representation even more unfortunately.
Women’s Category Results
Both Pakistani women cricketers went unsold at The Hundred 2026! Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal had £15,000 base prices listed. Neither attracted any bids from the eight franchises.
Rumors suggested that Indian-owned franchises deliberately avoided Pakistani players beforehand. MI London, Southern Brave, Sunrisers Leeds, and Manchester Super Giants own Indian connections. But Sunrisers Leeds broke that pattern signing Abrar Ahmed.
The Hundred 2026 features minimal Pakistani presence ultimately with just two players! Can Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq represent their country proudly this season?
