The Asia Cup 2025 final is scheduled for tomorrow, and the entire cricket world is eagerly anticipating the India-Pakistan match.
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has made a major statement, saying that India will definitely win the trophy this time.

Shukla, speaking to ANI, gave the full statement:
“Our team has performed brilliantly in the Asia Cup 2025. The team has a good combination. I am very confident that we will be the Asia Cup Champions and lift the Cup. Best wishes to Team India.”
Fans are even more excited after hearing this. India has not lost a single match in the tournament so far, and has defeated Pakistan twice resoundingly.
Kuldeep Yadav’s 3/18 spell in the group stage helped Pakistan win by 7 wickets, while Abhishek Sharma’s 74 runs in the Super 4s secured a 6-wicket win.
Now, for the first time, the Asia Cup final will be held between the two countries in Dubai, and Shukla is confident that India will emerge victorious.
How did controversies increase the tension of the final?
But this match isn’t just about cricket, it’s also taken on a political twist. The BCCI filed a complaint with the ICC regarding the actions of Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan during the Super 4 India-Pakistan match.
Rauf quarreled with Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, and taunted Indian fans by flashing “0-6” at the boundary, a reference to the border clashes following Operation Sindoor in May, where Pakistan falsely claimed to have shot down six Indian jets.
Farhan celebrated his half-century with a gun-like celebration. The ICC fined Rauf 30% of his match fee for abusive language, while Farhan received only a warning.
PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi announced that he would pay Rauf’s fine himself. On the other hand, the PCB also filed a complaint against Suryakumar Yadav.
After the group stage match, Surya dedicated the match to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, saying:
“Perfect occasion, taking the time out, we stand by the families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity. We want to dedicate the victory to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery. Hope they continue to inspire us all, and we give them more reasons on the field whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile.”
The PCB found this political, and the ICC also fined Surya 30% for violating the Code of Conduct.
Surya pleaded not guilty, but Richie Richardson rejected it. The PCCI even demanded a Level 4 sanction.
Stars’ explosive form
The Indian team is in such form that no one can stop it. Abhishek Sharma remains the best batsman of the tournament, while Kuldeep Yadav leads in terms of wickets. Confidence is high after defeating Pakistan twice.
Shukla praised the team’s strong combination and expects a similar performance in tomorrow’s final.
This match will be the first India-Pakistan final in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup. The rivalry between the two teams is always intense, but this time India seems to have the upper hand.
