India’s fast bowler Arshdeep Singh is in the headlines these days, and the reason is his killer confidence.
Ahead of the five-Test series against England, Arshdeep opened his heart in an interview given to BCCI.
He said, “When I hold the ball, I feel I am the best!”
But as soon as the talk came about his senior and world’s top bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep said in a very funny way,
“When you are bowling with Bumrah bhai, there is no question of comparison!”

He said, “I don’t compare, I just think about how to help my teammates and the team.”

During training in Kent, Arshdeep also mentioned bowling to the Indian batsmen. He told that young batsmen like Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan are in great form.
“It was fun to bowl to the batsmen. They were playing so well that we had to work hard to get them out!”
Arshdeep said laughing. Praising Sai Sudarshan, who is in the Test team for the first time, Arshdeep said that he is also looking in great form.
Why is Arshdeep waiting for Test debut?
Arshdeep may get a chance to make his Test debut in this series starting in Leeds from June 20. Talking about training in Kent,
he said, “This place is very calm and relaxing. My focus is on getting into rhythm with the red ball, especially after IPL 2025.”
