In an emotional conversation, Chahal admitted that while he appeared fine on the outside, inside he was struggling badly—to the extent that he had suicidal thoughts during the darkest phases.

    ‘Suicidal thoughts’

Opening up with heartbreaking honesty, Yuzvendra Chahal shared just how overwhelming things got for him after the divorce. He revealed that he was mentally and emotionally exhausted, even to the point where basic things like sleep and focus became nearly impossible.

“I had suicidal thoughts. I was tired of my life. I used to cry for two hours. I barely slept—just two hours a night—for over 40-45 days,” Chahal said, recalling one of the darkest phases of his life.

“I wanted a break from cricket. I was so mentally exhausted. I couldn’t focus. I even shared suicidal thoughts with a close friend. I was scared.”

These words are hard to hear, especially from someone wh

    ‘I Never Cheated’

One of the most talked-about parts of the fallout was the cheating allegations that circulated widely online. Chahal has answered them clearly and directly.

    “Maine kabhi cheat nahi kiya.”
“I never cheated,” he said firmly, adding that those rumours hurt him deeply and made an already painful situation even worse.

He stressed that false stories and assumptions about his character added to the emotional pressure he was already facing.

ar, especially from someone who always appeared so cheerful in the public eye. But Chahal’s courage in speaking up shows just how much pain can be hidden behind a smile—and how important it is to talk about mental health openly.

I Know How to Respect Women

While clearing the air on rumors and false allegations, Chahal strongly condemned the online trolling and baseless gossip that followed his divorce.

In a heartfelt statement, he said that his values are deeply rooted in respect for women, something he was taught from a young age.

“Because I have two sisters and have grown up with them since childhood, I know how to respect women. My parents have taught me that,” the Haryana-born cricketer said.

“I’ve learnt my life lessons from people around me. Just because my name is being linked with someone, that doesn’t give people the right to write anything for views.”

Chahal’s words reflect the emotional toll of social media toxicity, where unfounded speculations can often turn into character assassinations. He urged fans and media alike to be more responsible and respectful while talking about someone’s personal life.

Chahal says the reason he didn’t give up was the support system around him.

“If I’m still here today, it’s because of my family. They saved me,” he said, thanking his family, close friends, and fans for being his anchor.

Their belief in him helped him take the first steps toward healing and facing the world again—one day at a time.

With the personal storm now being addressed publicly, Chahal appears focused on rebuilding—both in life and in cricket. He’s taking things slowly, leaning on close ones, and trying to find stability after a tough period.

“I didn’t give up then, and I won’t give up now,” he said, showing the same resilience he brings to the field.
