Jalal Yunus, the chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations, has resigned from his position. He also serves as a director on the board and confirmed this news to Cricbuzz on Monday.
“I have resigned from the board for the good of cricket,” Jalal said.
He is the first director to leave the current board, which has been under pressure after the recent government change due to student protests that led to the resignation of the Awami League government on August 5.
More changes are expected in the board, as BCB president Nazmul Hasan has also said he wants to resign for the sake of cricket and to align with the new government.
