The 7th match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the big match between Australia vs South Africa, was completely washed out by rain. It was raining heavily in Rawalpindi since morning, due to which the match had to be canceled without even bowling a single ball.

The match officials had kept the cut-off time till 7:32 pm, but due to continuous rain, the match was completely canceled at 5:13 pm. Both the teams have been given 1-1 points as per the rules.
Now the situation of Group B has become interesting – both South Africa and Australia are at the top with 3-3 points, while England and Afghanistan have no points in their account yet. Tomorrow’s England-Afghanistan match has now become a virtual knockout, the losing team will be out of the tournament.
Thousands of fans present in the stadium sat with umbrellas in the rain throughout the day, hoping that maybe the match would start, but the weather did not cooperate. This is the first match of this tournament which has been completely canceled due to rain.
This is nothing new for Australia – this is their fourth of their last 8 matches in the Champions Trophy that have ended in a no-result or cancellation due to rain.
