The latest ICC Ranking update just dropped with some huge surprises. Saim Ayub is back on top of the all-rounder list. Pakistan’s clean sweep against Australia changed all in these rankings.

Sikandar Raza from Zimbabwe got down from the top spot. Saim Ayub put up 119 runs and picked 3 wickets across the series. He bowls handy off-spin when Pakistan needs him to do well.
The T20 World Cup 2026 is where Pakistan wants to shine brightly. Winning in 2009 was their only title so far in this format. Another trophy in 2026 would cement their T20 legacy forever.
Batting Rankings Stay Competitive
Abhishek Sharma isn’t going anywhere from that top batting spot. India’s powerful opener keeps smashing bowlers all over the park consistently. The 2026 World Cup will really test how long he stays there.
Jos Buttler moved up to third recently in the rankings. Pathum Nissanka sits fifth now while Suryakumar Yadav grabbed sixth position. Tim Seifert somehow broke into the top nine which surprised many people.
Saim Ayub jumped eight spots to 27th in batting rankings specifically. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha rose 12 places to 29th position. The top 11 batters represent seven different countries currently.
Abrar Ahmed Chases Top Spot
Abrar Ahmed shot up two places to number two among bowlers. His 6 wickets against Australia were absolutely lethal throughout the series. Varun Chakravarthy from India is the only bowler ahead of him.
Just 28 rating points separate them currently at the top. Abrar could overtake Chakravarthy with another strong series performance soon. The T20 World Cup 2026 might decide this battle between them eventually.
Mohammad Nawaz rose eight spots to seventh in bowling rankings too. He took 5 wickets in the final T20I alone brilliantly. His all-rounder ranking also improved to fourth place overall.
Other Notable Movements
Cameron Green climbed 16 places reaching 14th in batting rankings. Quinton de Kock rose 15 spots landing at 22nd position. Ishan Kishan jumped 32 places to 32nd impressively in the latest updates.
