Former England star Stuart Broad has sent a serious warning to the England team just days before the third Test against India at Lord’s.

After India’s dominant win at Edgbaston, Broad believes England should be “very worried” about what’s coming next.
Broad’s Clear Message: India’s Bowlers Are Ready to Take Over
Speaking on Sky Sports, Broad didn’t hold back:
“If I was in that England dressing room, I’d be worried. India’s pace attack looks dangerous, especially at Lord’s where the slope helps fast bowlers.”
India’s bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and rising star Akash Deep, have found their rhythm.
Akash Deep impressed everyone at Edgbaston with a brilliant 10-wicket haul, and with Bumrah likely to return for the Lord’s Test, England’s batters could be in big trouble.
Broad pointed out how dangerous the Lord’s slope can be:
“The ball drifts and nips in at Lord’s, which makes it even harder for the batters. Bumrah and Akash Deep can use that perfectly.”
England’s Bowling Problems: Thin on Options
Broad also raised a big concern about England’s bowling attack. With Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, and Mark Wood injured, England doesn’t have many fit fast bowlers left.
Chris Woakes is expected to lead the attack, but Broad warned he may not yet be fully ready:
“Woakesy hasn’t had enough match time. Bowling at Lord’s without rhythm is risky, especially against this Indian batting lineup.”
Broad also said that rushing injured players back could make things worse. England needs to be smart with team selection and find a way to take 20 wickets if they want to stay in the series.
The Next Move for England
The key for England? Bowl with control and discipline.
“At Lord’s, you can’t afford to miss your lines. If you do, the ball races to the boundary,” Broad explained.
He believes England’s batters also need to step up and handle India’s pressure better. Young players like Jamie Smith and Shoaib Bashir will now face one of the biggest challenges of their careers.
