The second Test between India and England is about to begin at Edgbaston, and the atmosphere is hot, England captain Ben Stokes has described Indian batsman Rishabh Pant as “very dangerous”.

Stokes said, “It is fun to watch Pant play, but he is a big threat to us.”
Pant’s explosive batting surprised everyone in the first Test, and now England’s eyes are set on this explosive player.
How is Pant’s explosion dangerous?
Pant’s fearless batting is a headache for every bowler. Be it Test, ODI or T20, he spoils the line and length of the bowlers. His century in the first Test at Headingley showed that he can turn the game around in any situation.
The Edgbaston pitch, which will gradually become flat, is perfect for Pant. The England team knows that if Pant gets into form, it can create problems for them.
England had registered a spectacular win in the first Test, but Stokes says that they will forget that win and start afresh.
“Last week was good, but now the score is zero. We are confident of our ability to chase,” Stokes said confidently.
There is no change in their playing XI, which includes stalwarts like Jack Crowley, Joe Root and Harry Brook. In bowling, Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir are ready to take on India.
This Test is a do or die for India. After the defeat in the first Test, Rohit Sharma’s team will now have to make a comeback. There are reports that Jasprit Bumrah may be rested in this match.
Stokes quipped on this and said, “This is India’s headache!”
India may field two spinners, and changes are also expected in the middle order.
Jofra Archer’s Test comeback may be on hold, but Stokes said his presence is important.
“Jofra being with the team is a big thing. Hopefully he will play a role in the series,” he said.
Both teams are ready, and a thrilling contest is expected at Edgbaston. Will Pant give England bowlers sleepless nights again? Or will Stokes’ team beat India again? The answer will be known soon.
