Sitanshu Kotak discusses bowlers’ advantage on Lord’s pitch before the upcoming match. India’s batting coach shares his thoughts about the challenging green surface. The IND vs ENG 3rd Test will test Indian batters’ mental strength.

Sitanshu Kotak Discusses Bowlers' Advantage on Lord's

The Lord’s Cricket Ground prepares a very green pitch for the Test match. Green pitches usually help bowlers more than batters during cricket games. Sitanshu Kotak explains that bowlers will find extra movement from the surface. Indian batters must prepare their minds for these tough conditions.

    Lord’s Pitch Presents Bowling Challenge

“Pitch is very green. We will get an idea after they cut the grass tomorrow. Can expect help for bowlers… mindset will be key for the batters. Indian batters are very skilled, without doing anything extra, they are scoring close to four”, Sitanshu said.

Kotak believes mental preparation matters more than technical skills on such pitches. Players need strong focus to handle the ball’s unpredictable movement. The batting coach trusts his team’s ability to adapt quickly. He knows Indian players have faced similar challenges before in England.

The coach refuses to compare English pitches with subcontinental ground conditions. He points out that Indian bowlers used pitch movement effectively recently. This shows the team understands how to work with different surfaces.

India Enters Test with High Confidence

India won their previous match at Edgbaston by a huge margin. The team won by 336 runs from England in that victory. This marked India’s first Test win at the famous Edgbaston ground. The IND vs ENG 3rd Test comes after this confidence-boosting performance.

Kotak praises his batters for scoring nearly four runs without extra effort. This shows the team maintains excellent form heading into Lord’s. The batting coach gives full credit to the players’ natural skills. He downplays his personal role in the team’s batting success.

Shubman Gill’s Standout Performance Inspires Team

Shubman Gill played brilliantly in the last Test match against England. Kotak highlights Gill’s positive mindset and smart technical changes during the game. The young batter showed how mental strength helps overcome difficult situations.

The batting coach uses Gill’s example to motivate other team members. He explains how a proper mindset leads to better performance under pressure. Gill’s success proves that Indian batters can handle English conditions well.
