What a crazy finish we saw at the Oval on the 5th day! Coach Senthilnathan praises Sundar for saving India when nobody expected it. Washington Sundar walked out to bat with India looking totally finished.

Nobody believed India could win from such a hopeless situation. But cricket can surprise you when you least expect it.

Sundar and Krishna Fight Back Hard

Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna did something crazy when India was almost all out. The scoreboard looked terrible, and fans started leaving the ground early. But these two players had not given up yet.

Sundar’s game-changing last-wicket partnership added 39 runs that nobody saw coming. Krishna stayed with Sundar and let him do most of the hitting. The English players got frustrated watching their sure win slip away.

This partnership turned a certain loss into a fighting chance for India. Sundar kept hitting boundaries while Krishna blocked balls from his end. Together, they rescued India from a very embarrassing total.

    Sundar Smashes a Quick Half-Century

Sundar hit 53 runs off only 46 balls in his gutsy innings. He smacked three huge sixes that sailed over the boundary rope. The English bowlers did not know what hit them suddenly.

“Sundar’s silent aggression proved to be a kryptonite for England’s verbal volleys. He performed with the bat rather than responding to the remarks, which is the way it should be.

If you stay silent and make the opposition pay on the field, they will soon stop such attempts. England were in a strong position when Mohammed Siraj got dismissed, but Sundar’s dominant batting shattered their momentum. I certainly believe his knock played a key role in India’s triumph,” said the cricketer’s childhood coach, M. Senthilnathan.

Coach Senthilnathan praises Sundar for ignoring the sledging from English fielders completely. They tried to upset him with nasty words, but failed badly. Sundar just kept swinging his bat and finding the gaps.

    R. Prasanna loved how Sundar played his horizontal shots perfectly. These cross-bat shots worked really well on this particular pitch. His shot selection was spot on throughout the innings.

His Series Stats Look Pretty Good

Sundar scored 284 runs across four matches in this series. He averaged over 47 runs, which is excellent for any player. Plus, he grabbed seven wickets too with his spinning deliveries.

“Sundar responds in a fitting manner with his performances despite being very aggressive internally which is a strong attribute. He held one end and showed initiative with the bat, adding some extremely valuable runs. “

“During training sessions conducted before the Test series against England, I told Sundar to focus on batting as long as possible and grinding it out,” he added.

Sundar’s game-changing last-wicket partnership became the main talking point after the match. Coach Senthilnathan praises Sundar because he plays according to what the situation demands. This young man has a bright future ahead.
