England needs only 35 runs to win the match. But India needs to take four more wickets to win. The match is very close and thrilling. Both teams are fighting hard to win this important game.

Former Indian bowler Varun Aaron thinks India will win. He said the rain break helped the Indian players rest and make new plans. Aaron believes the team has worked very hard during this series. He thinks losing from this good position would make everyone sad.

“Even a 10–15 minute extra break can do wonders for a team. It (the break on Sunday due to rain) gave the players time to regroup in the dressing room, talk strategy, and recover physically. I’m sure the message in the room was clear—‘We’ve worked too hard over the past 60 days to let this game slip,’ Aaron said.

“This team has travelled all the way from India and dominated large parts of the series. A series draw is the least they deserve. A loss from this position would really hurt. But after that spirited bowling spell post-tea, I genuinely believe India are now in a position to win this match,”

    Key Players Make Big Impact

Prasidh Krishna bowled really well for India. He put pressure on England’s Jacob Bethell. This made it hard for England to score runs easily. Siraj and Prasidh bowled amazingly after tea time. They took two very important wickets for India.

‘Siraj and Prasidh bowled five high-intensity overs each after tea, and that effort resulted in two crucial wickets. Siraj was quite unlucky, as he has been throughout the day—he bowled unbelievably well. So many of his deliveries hit the pad, but he just didn’t get the LBW calls,” he added.

The rain break gave the Indian players time to think. They made smart plans to stop England from scoring. Varun Aaron confident about India’s win shows how strong the team looks now.

“England now find themselves in a tough spot, and I genuinely feel this break is going to do India a world of good. The bowlers get to rest, stretch, have a massage, and get some treatment from the physios.”

Indian Fans Support Team at Oval

The crowd at the Oval ground was fantastic for India. Indian fans were cheering loudly like they do in Mumbai. Their support made the Indian players feel at home. The atmosphere was electric and exciting.

“Talking about the fans, it really felt like I was watching the game at Wankhede. There were Ganpati chants, India chants—I couldn’t hear the English supporters at all. The Indian supporters are out in huge numbers, and I think it’s their energy that the Indian team is feeding off,” he said.

Captain Shubman Gill made clever decisions during the match. His smart moves helped stop England from scoring many runs. The IND vs ENG 5th Test has been full of great cricket moments.
