In the fifth Test between India and England being played at the Oval, Mohammad Siraj once again showed his speed.
This fast bowler took the wicket of England captain Ollie Pope and achieved the feat of his 200th international wicket.

This achievement is not only a proof of Siraj’s hard work, but also a testament to India’s strong bowling.
On the second day of the match, after lunch, Siraj did the feat for which he is famous. One of his fast in-swinger balls hit Pope’s pad.
The umpire did not give him out at first, but Siraj’s passion and DRS turned the tables.
200 International Wickets for Siraj
Pope returned to the pavilion for 22 runs in the review. This wicket proved to be the turning point for India, which gave the team a lead in the session.
On this occasion, Siraj said,
“I was confident the ball was hitting the stumps. It’s a great feeling to get to 200 wickets, but the job isn’t done yet!”
Siraj, who made his debut in 2017, has taken 200 wickets in 101 international matches at an average of 29.12.
His best performance was 6/15, and he also holds the record of taking five wickets five times.
Siraj has an excellent record on England soil, 38 wickets in 11 Tests, including memorable performances at the Oval and Edgbaston.
Siraj – The Backbone of India’s Bowling Attack
However, Siraj had to struggle in the fourth Test in Manchester, where he got only one wicket for 140 runs in 30 overs. But, this fast bowler did not give up.
Be it the brilliant bowling of 6/70 at Edgbaston or now the 200th wicket at the Oval, Siraj proved that he is the backbone of India’s bowling attack.
Currently, the series is tied at 2-2, and India is relying on Siraj’s fiery bowling to win. The pitch is helping the fast bowlers, so fans are expecting more explosive performances from him.
Siraj is now the third Indian after Kapil Dev and Vinoo Mankad to play all five Tests of a foreign series and take more than 10 wickets each time.
