The fifth Test match played between India and England at the Oval was such that everyone’s breath stopped.
India won a thrilling victory by 6 runs and leveled the series 2-2. Mohammad Siraj bowled so well on the last day that the England team just kept watching.

The last day of the match started early in the morning, when England needed only 35 runs to win. Everyone felt that England would win easily, especially when fours were hit on the first two balls of Prasidh Krishna.
But then came Siraj’s storm! He got Jamie Smith caught out by Dhruv Jurel on a brilliant ball.
Siraj said, “We just kept the belief. This team never backs down.”
Siraj then dismissed Gus Atkinson as well, and then got Jamie Overton out LBW. Overton felt that the ball was going outside, but the umpire’s decision was in India’s favour.
On the other hand, Prasidh Krishna also dashed England’s hopes by bowling out Josh Tongue.
But the real drama happened when Chris Woakes came on the field. Woakes’ right shoulder was injured on the first day, yet he came to bat with his left hand.
Everyone was surprised, Woakes showed courage, but Siraj gave the final blow and dismissed Gus Atkinson. There was a festive atmosphere in the stadium! Siraj took 5 wickets, 3 of which came on the morning of the last day.

England needed 11 runs with the last wicket, but no one could stand in front of Siraj. This victory of India showed that they do not accept defeat in any situation.
