England’s dashing captain Ben Stokes has opened up about his injury ahead of the fifth and final Test match against India at the Oval.
Stokes said that he has a problem of pain in his right biceps tendon, and along with this there are some other minor injuries.
He bowled only 12 overs in the last Test at Old Trafford, as the pain bothered him.

Still, Stokes did not give up and said,
“The chances of me not playing are very low.”
Stokes said that he is mentally fine and physically he is also feeling better than before. But the bowling burden in this series has been heavy for him.
He said, “The third Test at Lord’s and now this week, everything has been very tough. Pain is just a feeling, but the biceps problem bothered me a bit.”
Stokes also said that he has been managing his injury for the last few weeks and hopes to be fully fit by the last Test.
Stokes has performed brilliantly in this series. He has taken 17 wickets, which is the most in this series. Also, by bowling 140 overs, he has faced the highest workload of his Test career.
Stokes said, “These five-six weeks were very difficult for me. I always give my 100% for the team. No matter how much pain I have, I play bravely on the field.”
England is leading the series 2-1, but Stokes wants his team to perform brilliantly in the last Test. He said, “We just want to push hard one more time. There is still a lot left in the series.”
Stokes also told that in the last Test, India refused to shake hands for a draw, after which he was trolled a lot on social media. Still, Stokes’ focus is only on winning.
At present, Stokes’ playing in the last Test is still under question. Everyone’s eyes are on his injury and fitness.
So will Stokes leave the pain behind and come on the field? Or will England have to fight the last battle without their captain? It will be interesting to see.
