BCCI has announced the India-South Africa T20 squad for the five-match series starting December 9. The announcement comes during the IND vs SA 2nd ODIs.

Hardik Pandya’s back in the side. He was suffering from an injury sustained during the Asia Cup 2025. The T20 series runs from December 9 to December 19, 2025 across various Indian venues.
Captaincy and Key Returns
Suryakumar Yadav will lead India during the SA series in 2025. Shubman Gill gets the vice-captain role but he needs fitness clearance from the BCCI first.
Jasprit Bumrah returns to the side after getting rest during the ODI series. The pace spearhead’s presence strengthens India’s bowling attack massively for the T20 matches. Hardik Pandya’s comeback after Asia Cup injury is the biggest news though.
