    Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 2 wickets in the 57th match of IPL 2025 played at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

    Kolkata batted first and scored 179/6 in 20 overs, in response to which Chennai scored 183/8 in 19.4 overs to win a thrilling victory.

    Dewald Brevis (52) and Shivam Dubey (45) played a key role in Chennai’s victory, while Noor Ahmed (4/31) bowled brilliantly for Kolkata.

    First innings: Kolkata Knight Riders 179/6 (20 overs)

    Kolkata had an average start, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz (11 runs, 9 balls) getting out early. Sunil Narine (26 runs, 17 balls) and captain Ajinkya Rahane (48 runs, 33 balls) shared a 58-run partnership for the second wicket. Andre Russell (38 runs, 21 balls) and Manish Pandey (36* runs, 28 balls) added quick runs in the final overs to take the score to 179.

    Noor Ahmed (4/31) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/34) bowled effectively for Chennai.
