In the 24th match of IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 6 wickets.
Delhi bowled first and restricted RCB to 163/7, in reply, DC achieved the target by scoring 169/4 in 17.5 overs.

First innings: Royal Challengers Bangalore – 163/7 (20 overs)
RCB’s innings started well, but the team came under pressure due to continuous fall of wickets. Phil Salt gave a quick start by scoring 37 runs (4 fours, 3 sixes) in 17 balls, but was run out in 3.5 overs. Virat Kohli scored 22 runs (14 balls, 1 four, 2 sixes), but he was also out early.
Captain Rajat Patidar scored 25 runs (23 balls, 1 four, 1 six), while Tim David scored an unbeaten 37 runs (2 fours, 4 sixes) in 20 balls to take the score to a respectable position.
However, Devdutt Padikkal (1), Liam Livingstone (4) and Jitesh Sharma (3) were dismissed cheaply. Krunal Pandya scored 18 runs (18 balls, 1 four).

DC had a bad start while chasing the target of 164 runs. Faf du Plessis (2) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (7) were out early.
Abhishek Porel (7) also returned to the pavilion cheaply. But after this KL Rahul held one end and played a brilliant innings of 93 runs (7 fours, 6 sixes) in 53 balls.
Captain Axar Patel scored 15 runs (11 balls, 2 fours), while Tristan Stubbs supported Rahul well by adding unbeaten 38 runs (4 fours, 1 six) in 23 balls.
For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/26) took 2 wickets, while Yash Dayal (1/45) and Suyash Sharma (1/25) took 1-1 wickets.

Decisive moment of the match
The turning point of the match was the 8.4th over of the second innings, when Axar Patel (15) was out. At that time DC’s score was 58/4 and there was hope of RCB’s comeback.
But after this, KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs made an unbeaten partnership of 111 runs and gave the team victory by 6 wickets in 17.5 overs. Rahul’s aggressive batting did not give any chance to the RCB bowlers.
